Home Decor Wishlist!

First up is this cute little(well, not really "little") body pillow from Victoria's Secret! I think snooze is the thing I hit most in my life!
C'mon, who doesn't want a facebook mug? It'll only cost you £5.99! Tempted yet?
How damn awesome are these teacups? I love the hand painted design on them and I think they'd look brilliant not only as a cup but as a decoration too! Is that sad?
I've seen this rabbit lamp floating around the blogger world for a while now, I think I've even blogged about it before, but I've still got my eyes on it! I think it's just so different and adorable! It's currently retailing at £79 but honestly, I'm not sure I'd be prepared to hand that cash over right now. If you've seen a review on this lamp, link me below! But look, this little fella is only (around) £7! I think the owl lamp is pretty awesome also and a hell of a step down in price from the rabbit, twit-twooo!
I love cats and I love quirky art so when I found this painting I was over the moon! Isn't it amazing? It doesn't get much better than a cat in a tea cup does it?
I just really love the idea of drinking from mason jars every morning, I'm actually pathetic, I know.
Who doesn't want a Jo Malone candle? Have you smelt the things?! Damn, they're so gorgeous! Admittedly £41.50 is pretty steep for a candle but I think if you're looking at getting a friend a really nice gift, then you should head in this direction!
Once again, I love cats, so why not have salt and pepper shakers in the shape of two cats? Purrfect!
I've just stumbled across this beautiful Laura Ashley clock and I'm honestly considering making a purchase(as broke as I am) because it's just gorgeous. At £31.50 it's more than worth it!
Lastly, who'd say no to a Buddha soap dish? I certainly wouldn't! Available now at Pacsun for £15.46!
Are you loving any of these items or are you lucky enough to own any of them? Let me know below!

No one has ever made himself great by showing how small someone else | http://beautiful-photography-collection.blogspot.com
"No one has ever made himself great by showing how small someone else is"
I think often people feel the need to put others down in order to make themselves feel better. Personally, I think this is completely unnecessary and if you're going to try to make someone else feel something, try and help them feel amazing!
Have a good week!

Polyvore Style Board #23

Sunday, January 26, 2014
It's Sunday + I have a day off, yippee! As I'm writing this, I'm currently on a major new music bender.

As I'm sure is pretty evident, I've tried to style this look around this amazing pair of J.Crew Jenny Jeans. I just stumbled upon them today whilst having a quick internet window shop. The product details read, "Inspired by an iconic 1940s photo of one of Hollywood's most stylish screen sirens wearing her jeans on the beach, the Jenny jean oozes vintage sex appeal, thanks to a cropped and high-waisted silhouette." If you follow the link above you'll be able to view photos of the jeans being worn and I adore the fit on the model, everything from the cropped ankles to the washed out shade of these babies. Coming in at £206.04, I think a little bit of saving is in order before I can rock these beauties!
I chose sandal heels for this look because I wanted to keep it relatively simple and I think sandal heels really help to achieve a simple yet classic look like this one. You can get these online now at Nasty Gal for £41.50!
Moving on to this beautiful shirt. You have to check out the back of it, follow the link through above, it's beyond perfect! My love for shirts and collars has grown double in size after finding this beauty. I think it's quite a unique shirt with it's floral back panel and leather detail. If only. You can find this online now at Alice and Olivia in the sale!
I opted for a clutch bag, rather than anything else as I didn't want to bulk out this outfit too much. Personally I'd go for a black clutch like this one but you could always add a pop of colour to your outfit by choosing something like this or this!
I don't think a necklace as in-your-face as this one is 100% necessary but I thought it went together pretty well. You could opt for something slightly smaller in size that would still look great. This necklace will cost you around £25.
Believe it or not, this watch is a £19.99 jobby from New Look! I've got a few watches stuffed in my bedside draw but only really wear one which is a shame because some of them are really lovely! Recently I've been looking at watches online, I've actually been eyeing up a rather expensive one and I think this is a pretty cheap dupe!
Last but not least, check out this super cute hair bow! Isn't it adorable?
Would you rock this outfit? Or would you do it differently? Let me know below!

Floral Collection, Vintage Forget-Me-Not Hand & Nail Cream | M&S

Tuesday, January 21, 2014

This
So a couple of weeks ago I was having a mooch around Marks&Sparks with my friend Susan and I came across this little beauty. Obviously at first it was the vintage floral print that attracted me, which is actually inspired by an original Marks and Spencer's tea dress design from the 1940's, wow?! Secondly, I smelt the product and I simply couldn't leave it on the shelve!
Upon using this hand cream a few times over the last few weeks, I can say that initially it does feel quite greasy but does dry rather quickly and leaves my hands feeling smoother and smelling delightful! It hasn't broken or irritated my skin or caused my hands to return to a dryer state if not applied(which is just horrible isn't it when then happens, humpf). If you're not a fan of strong smelling creams then this isn't one for your collection. This hand cream is fragranced with a floral scent reminiscent of the forget-me-not flower which is actually s symbol of friendship and love, cute right?
Overall, for the price I think this is a handy little tube of hand + nail cream to have in your handbag! You can purchase it online here or in store now! Have you tried this out yet? What do you think?
This product is vegan friendly!

Quote of the Week #21

"Good things take time."

They really do! I think people often forget this, like myself, I used to spend a lot of time getting frustrated at things after just spending five minutes on it because it wasn't going the way I'd hoped it would.
If you can, I think you should all print this out and stick it on your fridge, or save it to your phone and make it your wallpaper just as a little reminder!
Hope everyone's having a great start to their week!

Nine Things To Stick To This Year!

Saturday, January 18, 2014
So I guess it was about time I wrote this post up. I've been really thinking about how to structure this post and how to get as much into it as possible without boring you all to death, so I'm just going to get started!

1. Take more photographs!
I was lucky enough to get a brand new Nikon Coolpix for Christmas so I'm going to make a point of taking more photographs. Whether that be of my cat, a really nice sunset or 10 blurry photos from a Friday night out.. I think it's really important to take photographs to capture the memories you might otherwise forget. Here's a photograph I took last summer(using my phone) of one of the many sunflower fields we drove past.

2. Draw/Paint more!
I really enjoy the satisfying feeling I get when I finish a drawing or a painting. By no means am I an artist But occasionally I will pull something half decent out the hat. I took art at GCSE along with textiles. I ended up bringing home an awful grade for art but I also learnt quite a lot about what styles of art I enjoyed and which I was not half bad at. I'm going to set myself a challenge and do something that I said I would do last year, I'll be painting my quote of the week once a month!

3. Try new foods more often.
Since I became a vegetarian almost seven years ago, I've become a lot less fussy with trying new dishes but I do often tend to stick to what I know, especially when it's me that's doing the cooking. I think a lot of people do take comfort in cooking and eating the same dishes simply because a) you know how to prepare it as you've done so about 55 times before and b) you know you're going to enjoy it. So with that being said, I'm going to set myself another challenge and that is to cook up at least two new meals a month and not to order my usual when I'm out at my favourite restaurant, eek! If the food turns out alright I might even blog about it!
Curried Black Rice Soup w/ Green Veggie & Silken Tofu. "This aromatic vegetarian soup recipe is packed with flavour and interesting texture and is a healthy and tasty way to enjoy lots of vitamins and minerals. Served up in big bowls and topped with fresh ingredients this soup is yummy healthy comfort food at its best." from veggienumnum.com

4. Take up Yoga.
This is something I've wanted to start for the longest time now and funnily enough, my boyfriends' mum wants to go to! So fingers crossed we'll both be getting in to it soon! I've read so much about all the benefits (both body and mind) of yoga and it seems like something I could fit into my routine. I'll let ya'll know when I start going to classes!
Yoga is about clearing away whatever is in us that prevents our living in the most full and whole way.

5. Take a course.
Last week I signed up to take part in a ten week photography course, but unfortunately due to the lack of interest in the class, it will no longer be taking place, insert mega sad face here. So now, I'm keeping my eye's peeled for other courses, I might even take up something really random like gardening! I think it's important to continue to learn new things even after you've finished your education, even if it's just reading a few books on your topic of interest. If after a few months I haven't found a course I'd like to take, I'll take one up on online! Maybe even something like journalism? Who knows!

6. SAVE money!
I'm pretty terrible at saving money, well I say terrible, but something always seems to pop up or the price of cat food seems to triple or the bills just have an unexpected rise or topshop have a midseason sale, sigh. I think it's really important to save yourself a little nest egg even if you have no plans to go anywhere or do anything, I think it's comforting knowing that you have a little something to fall back on should you need to. i.e. take a trip to Paris for the day or buying that new head board you've had your eye on. So I'm going to be making a point of trying to save as much money as possible this year!

7. Blog at least four times a week.
So, if you're a regular reader, you'll have noticed my not so regular activity over the last few months. I know I've no need to apologise as it's my blog but I do feel like I have been neglecting my little corner of the internet. So, from now on I will be posting a minimum of four posts each week! I have so many ideas for upcoming posts so I'm pretty excited for the next few months. My blog's also going to be having a bit of a make over in the next few weeks and even a new name/url! So exciting! If you're looking at starting up a blog and want a few hints and tips about how to blog and still have time for the rest of your life, read this little post here.

8. Read more often.
Now, I'm not going to set myself a goal of how many books to read each month because I know it'll never work. Don't get me wrong, I love reading but I can only ever find time for it when I get into bed and within the first five pages my eyes are already heavy and my brain already half asleep. If I can get myself to bed a little earlier each night, in theory I should be able to get a bit more reading time in before my brain switches off. I've got a stack of(what I'm told) are really great books so hopefully this year I'll finish them all! No promises.

9. Get and stay organised.
I'm probably one of the most unorganised people you will ever come across but I'm changing that! I managed to keep a diary for just over two thirds of last year, not a journal just a little date diary with work hours and appointments and other bits and pieces in it. So this year, I'll hopefully be able to hang on to jotting these things down throughout the entire year! My bedroom is also in need of a little organisation, mainly my wardrobe but doesn't every girl have that problem? I'm in a constant battle with my wardrobe, mostly because it's simply just too small to have all my clothes shoved into it. On my day off this week i'm going to make time in my day to completely rearrange my wardrobe to make it 100% easier to see what's in there. This, I promise.

Polyvore Style Board #22

Sunday, January 12, 2014
It feels like eon's since I've written up a post like this!

First of all, hello everyone! I can't believe it's already the 12th of January and this is only my second post, oopsy daisy! Before I start to ramble on about why those shoes go with that dress, i'd just like to ask a favour! If you're reading this right now and you design custom layouts and or create banners or know someone who does then hit me up! My email's in my sidebar! I'm having a really bad creative block at the moment and it's driving me crazy!

So, this dress, it's currently on sale at Debenhams for just £39.20 and it's absolutely beautiful! If you follow the link through you can zoom in on the pattern and see that it's little dormice! Adorable right? I've really grown to love Deep red colours, in fact, that's the main colour in my upcoming outfit post!
These cut out ankle boots are a pair from Pull&Bear, it's been so long since I've bought anything from Pull&Bear but I saw these boots and fell in love just a little bit. They'll set you back £59 which isn't really on the cheap side for a pair of boots considering you could probably get a dupe pair in Primark for around £20. I decided to pair these boots with this dress because I really feel like it edge's the whole look up! I couldn't really fit it in but a pleather jacket like this one or this one (both these jacket's are in the sale at Topshop, i'd get over there asap if I were you!) would really help you to work that edgy look too!
If you're looking for that extra something to spice up your outfit, nastygal is your place to shop! It doesn't get more sassy than a WTF clutch does it?
If you hadn't already noticed, my inner Goth was screaming in my ear when I put this together, so to keep with the rock'n'roll theme, slap on some black nail polish, matte or not, that's up to you.
If you know me in real life you'll know that my love for collars is growing, fast, so when it hit me that this dress didn't have one, I had to find a really cute bib necklace to go with it.. to make up for the lack of collar. I headed over to Forever21 and found this one for under £10! They've got quite a selection over at Forever21!
Lastly, i'd like to draw your attention to the two domino's at the very top of this post. No, I've not gone potty, they are indeed a pair of earrings! So funky aren't they? Scrabble pieces, move over, with the Melody Ehsani collection over on KarmaLoop, you'll be spoilt for choice! All of the pieces are awesome, check it out here!
So what are you loving from this week's style board? Let me know below!

A French Kiss | LUSH Bubble Bar Review

Saturday, January 04, 2014

So back in November Nolan and I flew to the UK for all of about 72 hours for my mum's wedding, which was just so beautiful! The day before my mum's big day we had a spare few hours so we decided to pop into Cheltenham to do a spot of shopping. It was actually really fun because we'd go into a shop, i'd check my watch and say right, in fifteen minutes we need to be out the door and on to the next one! I pretty much knew what I wanted from each place we went in to so it worked out quite well.
When I spotted a new(I haven't been to Cheltenham for a while so maybe not so new) Lush store on the high street, I was jumping for joy and practically ran inside! I picked up a few bits and bobs, including the infamous snow fairy which has now almost ran out, noooo! One of the things I hadn't used before was this bubble bar called A French Kiss.
The other night, I decided to crack this beauty out the bag and try it out! I was quite excited because I adore the smell of lavender and I'd not used a bubble bar before. A French Kiss created so many bubbles It was pretty insane, I did try to take photos but I've not quite mastered my new camera yet, especially in bathroom lighting at night time. The water was almost grey looking but it smelt heavenly! I lay there for what felt like hours and it was honestly so relaxing and calming.
After what was probably the best bath i'd had all year, my skin felt silky and smelt delightful! It's not often that I have a bath and feel so fresh after! I'm still only just warming to baths, I hated them for the longest time but with products like this, I think i'm falling in love with my bath!
If I was rating this product out of five, it'd definitely get the full five! From the scent to the bubbles and the silky feeling it gives your skin, it's a essential pamper item! Have you tried A French Kiss Yet? Or any other Lush Bubble Bars?
If you want to find out more about this product or even buy some for yourself you can so here.
Don't forget, there's still time to register with photobox to get 40 FREE prints and be in with a chance of winning a Canon Ixus camera and premium photo canvas! Just click here to register now!
