Blackberry Bath Bomb | Lush

Wednesday, February 26, 2014
The last item in my little Lush stash was this gorgeous bath bomb! Fear not, i'll be visiting the UK in March so i'll stock up on all my favourite goodies then!
This little beauty is actually one of Lush's original bath bombs and it's no surprise that it's a best seller. By far one of the most fragrant bath bomb's I have ever used! On first impact with the water it didn't seem to "fizz" as much as I thought it would, but with a little added help (and by that I mean me swishing my hand around the bath crumbling the remains of the bath bomb, yes I used the whole thing!) the bathtub soon turned a delightful purple shade and smelt incredibly inviting! Infact, it reminded me of Parma violets, which I love! I even found this little note inside, aww!
Lush say that the frankincense and bergamot oils in this bath bomb are especially good for you if you're feeling anxious or restless. I do have to admit that I did feel incredibly relaxed in Sunday nights bath.
I think this bath bomb would be perfect for any one as not only does it leave you feeling calm and relaxed it leaves your skin feeling silky soft, just like Lush's bubble bar "a French kiss" see my review here
Have you tried this bath bomb? Go on, treat yourself! I'll definitely be buying it again! Will you?

A Topshop Wishlist | Dresses Under £50!

Tuesday, February 25, 2014
Once again, today I shall be sharing a topshop wishlist with you all! This time it's just four beautiful dresses that are all under £50! Let's get stated shall we?

1 | 2 | 3 | 4

First up is this gorgeous china print sundress that I've been eyeing up all weekend. Whack on your white converse and a little cardigan and you're all good to go!  I adore this print and for £36, this is a bargain, but if dresses aren't your thing but you too love this print, then this playsuit is available on asos for £20.
Secondly we have this rose print sweetheart prom dress and oh my lord do I wish I had a prom to go to! For one I think sweetheart neckline's are so flattering and secondly, who doesn't want to go to prom? The print is fresh and elegant but not too bright, perfect for the spring time! For £49 you can't go wrong!
Next up is this stunning black bloom floral tea dress that I think is my personal favourite of the four. With shoulder pads for extra structure of the shoulders and the wonderful mix of colours this is definitely a great little number for your wardrobe, perfect for a day time outfit or a night on the town! It can be yours for £45 online now.
Last but certainly not least we have this velvet bandeau flippy dress that honestly reminds me of one thing. Mermaids. I love anything remotely mermaid related and this beauty is just perfect! A great party dress that can be dressed up or down. The best thing is that it's on sale for just £15! I think it's safe to say that tis is definitely the ultimate bargain of this post!
Which of these dresses is your favourite? Have you got your eye on something special in Topshop at the minute? Let me know!

Quote of the Week #26

Monday, February 24, 2014
"Start each day with a grateful heart"
A very similar quote to last week's but I don't think I can stress how important I think it is to be grateful for the simple things in your life. I am grateful for the roof over my head. I am grateful for the bed I wake up in every morning. I am grateful for the shoes on my feet. I am grateful that I have had an education for free. I am grateful for the skills I have learnt over the years. I am grateful for all the people in my life, even those I have simply brushed passed on my walk to work. I am grateful for the love I feel every day. What are you grateful for?

Sorry for my absence this week, i'll finally be getting the internet sorted in my flat at the beginning of March, yay!

I'm truly trying to embrace spring here today! Spring time is probably my favourite time of year here as the winter's are too cold/wet/damp here but the summers are far too hot. I thought that this River Island playsuit would be perfect for the spring time! I love the bright warming colours of the floral print. If you follow the link through to the website you can see the beautiful cut out back it has too! You can bag this now at River Island for just £25.
I've wanted a pair of Tom's for the longest time now but have always been put off by them as I constantly here people complaining that they really don't last all that long. I've recently stumbled across this pair of crochet espadrilles and i'm in love! What's even better is that they're in the sale over at Van Mildert for just £26. Probably still a lot of money to spend on a supposedly low quality pair of shoes, but they look so gorgeous!
I'm eyeing up anything that remotely resembles the Michael Kors Selma bag and this Debenhams 'Sobieski' tote bag is perfect for the spring time! I think the little gold padlock on the front of the bag is super cute, along with the print scarf. Too cute not to have on your wrist and for £32, your pocket wont mind!
So I may have mentioned my new found love for hats and I think this fedora is lovely! I think the feather trim makes it look 100% more awesome, don't ya think?
So if spring is coming, that means it's time to do some sunglasses shopping and I've found a load of super fab cat eye one's so far this year. For just Ten pounds these sunnies are available in four colours/styles. Personally I prefer the "black smoke" shade, after all, black does go with everything.
Another perfect item for spring, this abstract stone necklace is a must have item! This statement necklace will cost you £20 over at warehouse and boy is it worth it. I assure you, this day and night time accessory will end up being your go to for the whole s/s season!
Lets talk nails. This Essie polish is in the shade "California Coral" a creamy, juicy peach pink, and I adore it! It goes perfectly with this playsuit and will really help to brighten up any look this season!
Would you rock this outfit? Are you dying for spring to show it's face too? Let me know!

Quote of the Week #25

Monday, February 17, 2014
"I am thankful for nights that turned into mornings, friends that turned into family and dreams that turned into reality."
I think it really is important to be thankful for the seemingly small things in life. I am thankful for yesterday, today and tomorrow. I am thankful for my dearest friends and family who always support me in all that I do. I am thankful for all the opportunities that life gives me.
What are you thankful for today?

Keeping it really simple today!

I really love this outfit because it's something that's honestly so easy to pull off with similar items. All these item's are in the pretty affordable region which is great too!
Recently, an F&F opened where I live, if you're not sure what F&F is, it's Tesco's own label clothing and it's actually lovely! You can check out their website here. I recently bought a floral skirt similar to this one in the sale for just £4! This skirt is available right now for just £14. I love the colours on the denim and think that this will go with so many things! A staple item for anyone's wardrobe!
How cute is this top? Miss Selfridge never let me down! It's actually a cropped top so it'll be perfect for summer too! I don't know if I've ever written anything about my "wanting to be a stylist" dreams but hey, if you can't be a stylist, get a shirt that says you are?!
Seeing as it's still pretty cold outside, I chose this beautiful Topshop jacket to accompany this outfit. I first blogged about he biker version here and i'm still cooing over it. It's still sitting in the sale at £45 so if you're looking to treat yourself, head on over to the Topshop website right now!
I was waiting in the post office the other day to pick up a parcel when I noticed a girl, probably a year or two younger than myself, rocking a pair of Nike Air's with cut off jeans and a leather jacket when I realised how much I truly loved Nike Air's! This particular pair here are the Nike Air Force 1's, which according to office's website, are one of the most popular styles in the entire Nike collection. I really think a pair of Nike's add a casual yet still stylist look to your outfit! Get me a pair, in fact, get me two!
My love for backpack's is growing thanks to Monki. Just £20 for this backpack, it's adorable isn't it? Aren't backpack's just super duper convenient? I didn't want to chose a bag that would over power the look of this outfit so I decided that a sweet little backpack would do the job!
How do you feel about keeping it simple? Let me know below!

Maybelline New York | Baby Lips

Saturday, February 15, 2014
Cherry Me | Pink Punch | Peach Kiss | Mint Fresh | Hydrate | Intense Care
Lets just say I was a bit of a late starter with baby lips. I managed to get my paws on some of them last November and recently completed my collection when my best friend Kathy ever so kindly bought them for me back in the UK whilst she was visiting. Lets get started shall we?
Firstly, let's take a look at what Maybelline say, "Our exclusive formula moisturises lips for a full 8 hours with SPF20 lip protection balm." I can straight up disagree on their 8 hour statement. I've been wearing baby lips all winter and not a single time have I not had to re apply after around an hour. This is just how it's happened to be for me but in all honesty, I don't see how a lip balm could be moisturising for 8 hours? Maybe I just don't see the science behind it? Whilst it's on it does make my lips feel sort, smooth and protected, just not for eight whole hours.
Three of Maybelline's baby lip balms do however have a hint of colour that does last a little longer than the moisture! I find they're perfect for day wear for work or school if you're limited to how much make up you can wear. My personal favourite for it's colour is "Cherry Me" I just think it's such a vibrant shade for a teeny tiny little lip balm!
All three of the above lip balms smell amazing! Honestly, I've been tempted to bite the end off of one just to see if it tastes as good as it smells, but then I remember that that would be awfully strange and after "eating" the ben and jerry's lip balms, I should know better.
My other favourite would have to be "Mint Fresh" because when you breath in whilst wearing this lip balm, you can taste the mint! It's so refreshing and smells/tastes so lovely!
Overall, considering the price and the quality of these lip balms, i'd say that they're pretty decent little things to have at hand! Also, if you can pop in to a boots, they're on the three for two offer, bangin!
Have you tried out any of the baby lips collection? What are your thoughts? Let me know below!

Parka - Topshop
Jumper - Peacocks (similar)
Boots - Peacocks (similar)
Bag - Topshop (old)

I really love this outfit and I found myself wearing it at least three times last month. This is my everyday jacket as I get cold so quickly! It's so snuggly and warm. Also, it's dropped £45 in price at topshop since I bought it, go grab yourself one, you won't regret it! Thank you to my beautiful friend Kathy for taking these photos!

7 Must Have Heart Inspired Items ♡

Tuesday, February 11, 2014
Okay, so I know out heart's aren't shaped like but hey it's Valentine's on Friday so I just thought i'd put this little post together!
1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 67

So firstly I picked out this adorable skater dress. It's so simple yet I really think it's such a lovely little dress! If bright red and hearts are a little bit too much, you can also purchase this dress in black. You can bag it from New Look for just £14.99!
Check out these sunnies! Aren't they fab? I love the 80's vibe and the flowers along the top, such a brilliant idea! Very Lana!
How about teeny tiny hearts for your nails? Perfect for this Friday!
Does this jumper not remind you of something Wildfox would bring out? In fact I think they have a jumper pretty similar to this one! The main difference of course, is the price. Try £19.99, bargain!
I think Shamballa bracelets are always going to be around and this one is super cute for any time of the year! I actually have this bracelet but the gems on the heart paint out the union jack, represent!
My favourite pick of these items is this adorable little cross body bag! It reminds me of this Stella McCartney one.
Last but not least are these Hollister "sneakers" that I'm really keen on at the moment. I think they'd look really cute with light pastel coloured summer dresses or ever with a pair of frilly socks and a skater skirt!
Which of these items is your favourite? Let me know below!

11 Benefits Of Lemon Water

Wednesday, February 05, 2014
So it's hump day, so I thought i'd share with you all something I found online a couple of days ago. Just a little disclaimer, I did not put this list together, I simply found it whilst scrolling through my tumblr dashboard but do believe it originated from this post over here.

1. It Gives your immune system a boost.Vitamin C is like our immune system’s jumper cables, and lemon juice is full of it. The level of vitamin C in your system is one of the first things to plummet when you’re stressed, which is why experts recommended popping extra vitamin C during especially stressful days.

2. Excellent source of potassium.
As already mentioned, lemons are high in potassium, which is good for heart health, as well as brain and nerve function.

3. Aids digestion.
Lemon juice not only encourages healthy digestion by loosening toxins in your digestive tract, it helps to relieve symptoms of indigestion such as heartburn, burping, and bloating.

4. Cleanses your system.
It helps flush out the toxins in your body by enhancing enzyme function, stimulating your liver

5. Freshens your breath.
It also helps relieve toothaches and gingivitis (say wha?). Because the citric acid can erode tooth enamel, either hold off on brushing your teeth after drinking lemon water or brush your teeth before drinking it.

6. Keeps your skin blemish-free.
The antioxidants in lemon juice help to not only decrease blemishes, but wrinkles too! It can also be applied to scars and age spots to reduce their appearance, and because it’s detoxifying your blood, it will maintain your skin’s radiance.

7. Helps you lose weight.
Lemons contain pectin fibre, which assists in fighting hunger cravings.

8. Reduces inflammation.
If you drink lemon water on a regular basis, it will decrease the acidity in your body, which is where disease states occur. It removes uric acid in your joints, which is one of the main causes of inflammation.

9. Gives you an energy boost.

Lemon juice provides your body with energy when it enters your digestive tract, and it also helps reduce anxiety and depression. (Even the scent of lemons has a calming effect on your nervous system!)

10. Helps to cut out caffeine.
I didn’t believe this until I tried it, but replacing my morning coffee with a cup of hot lemon water has really done wonders! I feel refreshed, and no longer have to deal with that pesky afternoon crash. Plus, my nerves are thankful

11. Helps fight viral infections.
Warm lemon water is the most effective way to diminish viral infections and their subsequent sore throats. Plus, with the lemon juice also boosting your immune system, you’ll simultaneously fight off the infection completely.

So, how much? For those who weigh less than 150 pounds, squeeze half a lemon’s worth of juice into a glass of water. If over 150 pounds, use an entire lemon’s juice. You can of course dilute the lemon juice more, depending on your personal taste. Not only are the benefits of lemon water endless, it’s one of the most substantial yet simple changes you can make for your health.

I hoped you all enjoyed these little facts! Will you be introducing this simple yet effective little changes into your daily routine? Let me know below!

OPI Nail Lacquer | Princesses Rule!

Tuesday, February 04, 2014
OPI Nail Lacquer | Princesses Rule!
For Christmas I was lucky enough to receive this little gem from my best friend. This was actually the first OPI nail varnish in my ever growing collection!
This sheer subtle colour is an essential in any girls nail product collection. There are so many ways you can wear this colour. You could use a base colour, apply 3+ coats or even wear it solo for a light pink that shimmers with very subtle silver glitter. I find applying one coat is ideal for my work place as it adds a slight glow to my nails without making it too obvious that i'm wearing nail varnish(which is against the rules at work, boo).
Finding a base colour would be pretty difficult as this shade is so light but I think if you can find a light pastel colour it could really work! Alternatively you could just apply several coats on its own. I find that this nail varnish dries quite quickly allowing for a quicker application of multiple coats.
As for last time, I find that unfortunately it does seem to chip quite quickly. Please bear in mind that I have recently began to use a Barry M base and top coat which could affect the lasting time.
A great classic and girly girl colour from OPI that despite the lasting time I would totally recommend! I can't wait to try out more of OPI's collection!
Have you tried this shade? What's your favourite OPI nail colour?

Polyvore Style Board #24

It's Sunday again! Can you believe it?!

Collars and jumpers, jumpers with shirts, shirt's with collars and jumpers! I love anything layered with a collar! This two in one is from River Island and marks in at just £35, super! I just love the grey jumper and denim shirt combo, it's just perfect!
This high waisted skater skirt is just adorable isn't it? I love the floral print as it's not your usual bright, summery in your face kinda floral. I think it works really well with the jumper! This is currently available from Warehouse for £30!
I always think I've found the perfect pair of Chelsea boots and then BAM, an even better pair pop up! Just check out these puppies. I think I just adore the gold chain around it, and in all honesty, i'm not sure why, I just think they're such a unique pair! I think these boots funk up the outfit a little, giving it a little edge. You can grab them in the River Island sale for just £30!
Would you believe it? Another River Island item (the last one, I promise!) here and that is this gorgeous bag! If I did decide to purchase this bag I think it'd be my go to everyday handbag. Big enough to actually be able to carry things in but small enough to not be super bulky and just get in the way. I just adore the style an the glittery gold lock fastening!  Silly little things like that make me happy.
I've been talking about watches here for a while now and guess what, I still haven't bought myself a new one! I've just found this Juicy Couture one online today and isn't it sweet? I love the royal blue face but you can in fact get this watch's face in a variety of colours. Right now it's selling online for around £90 which isn't bad at all! Check out all the colours here.

HOW TO ADD A POP OF COLOUR TO MONOCHROME

Saturday, February 01, 2014
I was watching this morning last week and on their little fashion section they covered monochrome and how to add a touch of bold colour to the outfit for a twist! So I thought i'd put this little post together!
How to add a pop of colour to monochrome | pink | Love, Maisie
