Polyvore Style Board #30

Sunday, March 30, 2014

I found this cute little dress over at Aeropostal and it's a bargain at £24.50! It's actually also avalible in aquatic blue but of course, black is my colour. Another must have item on my ever growing wish list!
Oddly enough, I was talking about fedora's with Kathy the other day, might I just add for all the wrong reasons, and I think this super oversized fedora is another wish list worthy item. I don't really think I can pull hats off but I might just have to try with this River Island one!
I've not had a pair of Vans in years! I've been eyeing up a few pairs lately but I think this pair might just be the ones I've been looking for. As i'm sure you've noticed, floral is kinda something I lust over all the time and I think these babies would be perfect for the spring/summer time!
Cute clutch alert! Nasty Gal always produce the cutest little things! I think this clutch would work with any outfit, even if you're wearing something super casual like this, I reckon it really adds a cute touch to the whole look.
There are so many amazing jewellery pieces over on Amazon and I stumbled across this really sweet mint green rose necklace and it just jumped itself into my basket! Isn't is just so adorable? Pastel esk colours and floral, what's not to love?
Are you craving the warmer weather? Would you rock this outfit? Let me know!

Tee - Primark | Cardigan - Charity shop | Pumps - Primark | Leggings - Primark | Ring - Primark
Firstly, thank you to my top notch mum for taking these photos, she kept saying how rubbish she'd be at taking pictures but look how lovely they came out! I think she really loved it haha! Oh and what do you think of mum's flowers? She's ever so proud!
So let's get a low down on this outfit. Pretty much everything in the post is from Primark, outfit on a budget haha! I grabbed this super cute Bambi top for £6, bargain! It's quite thin so it'll be great for when the warmer weather comes. I picked up this wool cardigan which was a super duper fabulous find at a charity shop in Tewkesbury for just £2.95. It's so baggy and comfy, I think I'll be living out of it this month. As I'm sure you're all very aware, I'm loving the pastel trend and I love all the colours in this outfit! I just think they all work really well together!
What do you think? Love it or leave it? Let me know!

The Milkmaid Braid

Wednesday, March 26, 2014
I've been experimenting with cute new hair styles and right now I'm really loving the milkmaid braid! I just wanted to share this with you guys, but please excuse the bad angled photos and the multitude of colours in my hair, oops. I kept a little hair around my face to frame it but pinned my fringe up. This is honestly such an easy hairstyle to achieve but here's a really great tutorial by Rhiannon Ashlee
Ideally, you'd use clear elastic bands to secure the braids and bobby pins that match your hair colour.. but I didn't bring any with my on this little trip to the UK(vlog coming soon) so this is as good as it's gonna get this week, haha! What are your go to hair styles at the moment? Let me know/show me below!

Quote of the Week #29

Monday, March 24, 2014
"Just because you have a bad day, doesn't mean you have a bad life."
Sorry I missed last week's quote of the week, I literally had no access to the internet, boo hoo. So this morning, the first thing I did when I got up was open instagram to have a scroll through my feed, as you do, and I came across this picture that my friend Gislaine posted and I fell in love with this quote instantly! Almost everyday I wake up to a sea of complaints all over my facebook page and most of them seem so trivial, that's where this quote comes in. Just because you saw some girl in the year below you wearing the exact same topshop pants as you, really doesn't mean that your life is a sham and just because you missed your first bus this morning, doesn't mean that the rest of your week is going to be terrible.
Nowadays, I think people spend too much time focusing on the small negative things instead of the lovely little happy things around them! This brings me to my next point. 100 Happy Days.
If you follow me on instagram, you'll have seen the little hashtag, 100happydays on some of my photos. If you haven't already heard, it's a massive project that I think all of you should get involved in! It's really as simple as capturing a photo every day for 100 days of something that has made you happy that day! You can find out more and register by visiting this site.

March Beauty Wishlist

Thursday, March 13, 2014

I thought it was about time I made another wishlist! I didn't want to bombard you with the endless list I have of all the beauty products that I need in my life right now, so I narrowed it down to just five, hardest hour of my life haha!

Avon Color Trend Lipstick Review

Wednesday, March 12, 2014

Avon Color Trend Lipstick in Amethyst | Avon | Currently £2.89
As I'm sure I've mentioned before, one of the girls I work with is an Avon representative so pretty much every single day she's shoving the catalogue in my hands which just screams "open me, buy something, splurge" whenever I see it, so a few weeks ago, I ordered a new lipstick as i'd used an Avon lipstick in the past and I really loved how the colour applied. This time, I chose one of Avon's Color Trend, Kiss n Go Lipsticks in the shade, Amethyst.

Amethyst is a really pretty pink colour that I know i'll be wearing all through spring. I really love the shimmer that this lipstick has on application. The colour of this product does look like a very deep pink/purple but once applied it's clear to see that it's a lovely shade of shimmering pink! As for wear time, I wore this over the weekend and even after i'd eaten two courses and had a couple of glasses of wine, there was definitely still some colour on my lips! Not an incredible amount but enough for it to be noticeable.

The only down side to this lipstick, for me, is that it can leave my lips feeling a little dry, but with a little bit of lip balm, any dryed out effect had gone by the next day.
It's clearly a bargain at just £1.90 (Originally £3.75), even full price is still a pretty great deal. I'd really love to invest in more Avon color trend lipsticks, as they're affordable and never let me down, and i'm sure I will!

I think this is a shade that will suit most skin tones/hair colours so if you've got a spare minute or two, why not order one of these babies!

Quote of the Week #28

Tuesday, March 11, 2014
Sorry it's a day late guys, it was my blog's birthday yesterday (awww) so I thought i'd save this post for today!
"I read past my bedtime."
Myself and Nolan are currently trying to make a point of reading more! I always say I don't have time for things when in reality it's that I don't make time for things! I just finished reading "Warm Bodies" and I really enjoyed it, such a different take on the whole "zombie" thing. I've just started reading "Before I Go To Sleep" by S J Watson and honestly, it's amazing. I'm already half way through and I don't want it to end, ever!
So this week, I want all of you to read past your bedtime, not too long past your bedtime, sleep is just as important as reading.
