Sugar Hill Boutique | Ultimate Dress Wishlist

Friday, June 20, 2014

HOLY CRAP, look at these beauties! I decided i'd do a Sugar Hill Boutique wishlist post, but after spending an entire hour on their site, I decided I was going to have to limit it to one category because they have so many adorable pieces! I'm seriously falling head over heels for Sugar Hill Boutique! So I decided that today we'd talk dresses as my wardrobe has a severe lack of them right now.
Culprit number one is this sweet button down shirt dress. I don't know what I love more, the style(hello collar!) or the multicoloured ice cream print?! What makes this dress even more awesome is that it's made using the batik method/style! If you did textiles in high school like me you'll probably know what that is, if not, hello Wikipedia! But what I can tell you is that it means that the print on each dress with be slightly different, so pretty much a one off.. sort of! Style this down with a pair of white sandals or dress is up with some gold bling and a nice pair of heeled sandals, perfect for a summer dinner out! This dress is available for £36.
Who remembers my daisy dress post? How did I not find this beauty then? Aside's from the daisy print, I love a good skater dress/skirt, I think they're incredibly flattering on the good ol' pins! This baby even has little sleeves for those who like myself, have "issues" with their shoulders, perfect! I think you could add a great "twist" to this feminine piece with a nice big chunky pair of cut out boots, perfect for the festival season. You can grab it now for £49.
Mexican donkeys, on a dress? Yes please! They're so cute, oh my goodness this is such a random print but I love it! Another skater dress because why not? Honestly, I don't think i'd care about the fit/style of a dress , just as long as it had these fellas on it! It also dons an adorable tulip back and it's a chiffon fabric, it's basically screaming summertime/holiday! Grab yourself a half sleeved white cardigan and these shoes and you're good to go! This can be yours for £49.
Smock dresses are a must have for the summer time, they're incredibly comfortable and still look super cute! How about this bicycle print on stripes? I can't get enough of Sugar Hill Boutique's prints, they're all so beautiful! I think this would be great throughout the winter time with a nice big black jumper. Christ am I already thinking/talking about winter, someone save me! Wait.. did someone say tights? No? Okay. You can bag yourself this beauty for just £35 in the sale!
Lastly, we have, what I think, is the most glamorous of the chosen dresses. It seemed more than appropriate to have such a flash piece as people will be off the races in their hundreds this weekend! I reckon you could wear this to a wedding or any fancy day time event! The floral gingham print is so summery yet still sophisticated and not overly floral, if that even makes sense? This item is also in the sale for £40, go on, treat yourself!
So there we have it, which of these Sugar Hill Boutique dresses is your favourite? Let me know! How would you style them?

Top 6 Sunglasses Picks

Thursday, June 19, 2014

I feel as though I talk about sunglasses too much? Please forgive me, but look at these babies! Admittedly, a few of these are a little out of my price range, but hey ho, a girl can dream! Let's get started shall we!
Up first, we have these adorable round framed sunglasses from Amazon for around £3, that's Primark prices right there! I really like how the baby pink complements the mint green, such a lovely little pair for spring/summer!
Next up we have this berry coloured pair. In general, the majority of pairs of sunglasses I currently own are darker shades, so these are sort of keeping with my current theme. I really like the shape on these, the round lenses slightly pointed off, but not quite cat eyed. For £16 I might just have to make a cheeky purchase.
Floral sunnies? Let me have um! I think these are such a summery pair and perfect for day to day wear but still adding a little bit extra to your look. They can be yours for around £20, boom another bargain!
Ahhhh Marc Jacobs, how I love thee. I think these are such a beautiful pair, so simple yet so stylish! I love the little polka dots on the arms. They're roughly £80 which I guess isn't so bad for a pair of designer sunnies.. another cheeky purchase maybe?
I think this next pair are a perfect festival piece, from the purple tint to the cute flower detail, they're just adorable. Unfortunately, i'm not off to any festivals this summer, but if you are, you need these babies on your check list!
Last, but certainly not least are these amazing Dolce & Gabbana shades. Just look at them! Way out of my price range but they're so beautiful. If anyone reading this has £550 to spare, hit me up!
So there we have it, my top 6 sunglasses picks! Are you loving any of these as much as I am? Let me know!

Mr Nutcase | iPhone 4s Case Review

Wednesday, June 18, 2014
Firstly, sorry for the God awful photograph!
So a short while ago, I found myself in contact with the lovely people over at Mr Nut Case and they offered to send me a personalised phone case, how cool is that?
Mr Nut Case is a really great little website! Basically you get to design/personalise your own mobile phone case! They cater for a wide range of manufacturers including apple, HTC, Google, Samsung and many more! Just click here to find out if they have cases available for your mobile! My phone is an Apple iPhone 4s and I opted for the Ultra Lightweight Slimline case which comes to a total of £14.95, not bad aye! They also create Executive flip leather style cases and Full wrap around premium edition ones.
There are around 16 different ways that you can choose from to arrange your photos/pictures, from just one large one, to an adorable heart shape! I really think there's something for everyone on there!
I chose to have six photographs of my family and friends on mine because i'm super soppy like that! It also has a super nice matte feel finish to it. Funny story, I left my phone in Morrisons the other day and didn't realise until I got home. So I called up customer services and told them the situation, with which they replied "can you tell us something about the phone" with which I replied, "it's got photo's of my face on it" well done me, haha!
Another thing which I find rather magical, I seem to have acquired a taste for dropping my phone pretty much everyday now and this bad boy has not obtained a single scratch as of yet! Boom!
And now, some great news for you! That's right, you right there, stop what you're doing and get a load of this! The team at MrNutCase didn't just send me this bad boy, they also have me a 10% discount code for all my readers! Just enter the code "Thanku10" at the checkout and the 10% will be deducted! Also, as far as i'm aware they offer free shipping! Double bargain!
So go on, get creating! Please let me know if you decide to order yourself a case from MrNutCase, i'd love to see it! Why not get super creative and draw/design an image to get on your phone case? I love mine and I know i'll be ordering myself a few more!

Orange Is The New Black | On A Budget

Thursday, June 12, 2014
So last week, an email from polyvore landed in my inbox titled "orange is the new black," in it, there were countless beautiful style boards all including pieces in orange. I'm sure this is also due to the new season of Orange is the new black launching, but that's not on the agenda for today i'm afraid!
I decided, since i'm sort of falling in love with all things orange this summer, why not put together a little wishlist-esk post with some gorgeous orange pieces, but on a budget, and a serious one at that! All these items are under £30!
Dorothy Perkins are on point this year, every time i've visited their site or popped in to their store i've found at least ten things I feel that I need in my life, this little daisy jersey pephem dress being one of them! Look how adorable it is! A perfect summer piece, it can be yours for just £25!
This next little dress is a trend that I haven't quite gotten in to yet but I might just have to try it out! I've seen the peplum top and dress trend around for over a year now and I might just be starting to like, love it! Dress this up with a pair of black heels and a chunky gold necklace or dress it down with some white sandals and a floral crown for a daytime/festival look. Another bargain at just £12.99 from New Look.
Mixing my all time favourite colour and my current favourite and BAM, this clutch! Who knew that pink and orange could work so well together? If you're not totally in to the bold, bright colours then this little beauty is also available in the ever popular monochrome trend colours. At around £10, why not get one of each?!
Check out these bad boys! Bright orange high waisted shorts with an "80's inspired" print. I just think they're so funky and another perfect summer price! So easy to wear, throw these on with a plain white top and some gladiator sandals for a lush holiday outfit! Get them from River Island for just £20.
I don't particularly like pineapple, but I love anything with a pineapple on it and what's better than a phone case.. that IS a pineapple? I'm pretty sure pineapple's are generally yellow but this little guy seems to be more on the orange side so he's earned his space on this post! Available from Claire's for £8!
I've been seeing numerous bloggers talk about these see through boots for a while now and I think they're a perfect festival piece, especially for those of you attending festival's in the UK. Even though they're held in the summer, we all know how unpredictable the weather can be and rain + fields = MUD! Plus, you can wear super cute socks and everyone can appreciate them! Ahh, the simple things in life!
So which of these pieces is your favourite? Are you loving orange as much as I am at the minute? Also, is Orange Is The New Black a good series to start watching? Let me know below!

Quote of the Week #36

Monday, June 09, 2014
"There are seven days in the week and someday isn't one of them."
I hold my hands up high and admit that I am often that person who says, yeah someday i'm going start eating better and someday i'm going to finish that project, but this morning I woke up feel super positive so decided that there will be no more someday's, just today! So this morning I had a plate full of fruit for breakfast, which was actually delicious! If you live in Gibraltar, you need to get your butt down to eroski and grab yourself some cherries because they're amazing! There's currently no "crappy" food in my fridge/cupboards so the temptation isn't there! I've got so many "projects" either in the works or lined up so i'm going to get my butt in to gear and start getting them done/finished so I can show you all!
If you're also a someday person like myself, change that and start today! You could even save this image and set it as your phone wallpaper like I have! I hope everyone's week has got off to a great start!

Sunday Ramblings #2

Sunday, June 08, 2014
It's so hot today I really don't know what to do with myself. I've spent all day either eating, being at the supermarket or getting bloggy things done but now i've reached the point where i'm so hot I don't really want the laptop anywhere near me, why must these little electronic devices emit so much heat?
Moving on, overall, I've had a pretty good week. Although I didn't managed to get half the things done that I said I would, why do I even make lists? Training on Tuesday was a bit of a fail on my part but I still managed to finish it without dying so it wasn't that bad really!
On the social front, my and my buddies went out on Friday to our local rock club(surprise surprise!) as it was Headwire's EP launch! I didn't stay out too late but I had a great night and Headwire's are pretty amazeballs.
As you can see, the larger picture above is slightly odd, but I thought it would be a good idea to use pieces of watermelon(I don't even like watermelon) as our mouths.. this was the result and i'm not entirely sure it looks like that was the aim.
I'd just like to take a quick minute to thank all my lovely readers and new followers both on here and my social media, I love you all! OH and I just passed 16 THOUSAND page views, you guys are really epic!
I'm going to continue getting things ready for the coming week and possibly bathe in ice to try and cool down. I hope everyone's had a great week/weekend! What have you been up to?
