Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick | Raplumzel | Soap & Glory

Tuesday, January 27, 2015

So, as some of your may know, I recently took a trip back to the UK and of course, I spend too much money in boots(yay for new make up) and one of the things I picked up was something I hadn't tried before! It's this Soap & Glory sexy mother pucker gloss stick/crayon in the colour, Raplumzel! Cute as sh*t name, right?

If you know me on even a, hey, how're you kind of level, you'll know that I over buy on lip products, but I was just too tempted by this beautiful shade(and the buy one get one half price offer, oops?) But please excuse the last photo, I know my focus is completely backwards but I was so tired when I took these snaps, it looked fine on the screen. You all know how terrible I am at describing shades so bare with me here. Raplumzel is a beautiful, glossy, plum shade that's fairly subtle, it definitely leans more towards the pink side of the scale as oppose to the usual bold, reddy plum shades.

Don't get me wrong, I love bold plum shades, more so than ever this season, but sometimes it's nice to go a little more natural, well, as natural as a deep pink shade can be, catch my drift? If you're still not convinced by my paragraph of confusing adjective's, then I highly suggest you go and try one out! I'm pretty sure you can't purchase Soap & Glory in Gib but you can in Sephora in Marbella, right around the corner from Hard Rock Cafe, it's the closest Sephora that I know of anyway!

As for the consistency it's ridiculously smooth and actually really moisturising! I had a quick check through the ingredients and I can't see any of the usual, shea butter or cocoa butter or anything, so it must just be magical, right? It also seems to leave a nice stain to the lips so throughout the day it's only really necessary to reapply for more shine!

Have you tried this product? What did you think? Do you love it as much as I do? Let me know! Have a wonderful day

Quote of the Week | #51

"Don't think about what might go wrong, think about what could go right"

Happy Monday everyone! I hope your week's getting off to a good start ♡ I think many of us will put off certain things that fall in to our paths because instead of thinking about all of the great and positive things that could come of out it, we'll run through each and every single possibility of failure, myself included.

In my last quote of the week I spoke about choosing to follow my dreams. A big part of me not doing certain things throughout my life has been because of the above thought process. What if I do badly, what if -insert name here- doesn't agree, what if I hate it.. When really, the important thing to do is to think of all the wonderful things that could happen! So let this be a promise to myself to start and to continue to always think about the positive outcomes of a situation and discard the negative ones! Who's with me?

The Primark One | OOTD

Tuesday, January 20, 2015

An entire outfit made up of Primark items, my oh my. Of course, my trusty boots are part of this, I promise I have others shoes, they're just so damn comfortable! Plus, I was in the country so I had to look the part, right?

Let's talk about the best bargain i've seen in a long time. This coat was on sale in Primark, I still don't understand how Primark have sales but it's fantastic! If you can guess how much it was you get 10 points, guessing? TEN POUNDS, £10, TEN! It was supposed to be £25 which is amazing enough but for £10, I just had to have it. Thanks mumma

I'm sorry about the colour difference in these photos, it's just the way they turned out, but how beautiful is this skirt!? It's more like the colour in the first photo. I think it cost me £6, bargain. I would suggest getting it a size smaller(I know, crazy for Primark) as it turned out a little big on the waist, it's still perfect though.

Another great find was this adorable collared lace tee. Lace and a collar? I was sold within seconds! I think this was also around the £6 mark. Possibly the most adorable thing i've ever worn

Over the years, Primark's quality has improved massively. Admittedly, there are always a few items that I look at and think, "who in their right mind.." but everyone's entitled to an opinion right? So what did you think of this look? Let me know!

I hope you've had a lovely day! Keep smiling

Bunty Yellow Gift | Lush

Thursday, January 15, 2015

For my 20th birthday last year(oh my goodness how weird does it feel to say last year? And holy shit i'm going to be 21 this year!) my friend Kim kindly got me this lovely little "bunty box" from Lush! It contained two bath bombs, Space Girl and Think Pink, and two 100 gram bubble bars, Creamy Candy and The Comforter. I actually hadn't tried tried any of these products before so I was super excited to try them out for the first time! I can't find the gift box on a UK link but all the individual items linked here are from the UK site!

First of all, i'd just like to mention how adorable the packaging is! I adore the pink and yellow combo with the gigantic pink bow wrapped around it! Also, how incredibly fun are those little polystyrene nuggets?! Do they have a real name, let me know if you know!

Let's start with bath bombs shall we? First up we have Space Girl(£2.35 each) like I said, i've never used this product before but after giving it a whiff and a quick Google, I was more than eager to get the water running! Much to my suprise, I read that this little beauty had popping candy in it(if you're not sure what it is, google it and then purchase some, it's pretty intense) which instantly made me think of Guy Fawke's for some reason? As soon as it met the water it began bubbling and crackling and filling my nostrils with a ridiculously sweet yet fresh scent(I think that's the grapefruit in it?)! It left a super silky feeling to my skin which was an added bonus. Plus it's full of glitter, what more could you want?! I'd purchase this again in a heart beat.

Next up is the Think Pink(£2.65 each) bath bomb. Obviously I was equally as excited for this one as well, it's pink! It's sad I know, but pink things in general really excite me! As the label states, it has miniture rice paper hearts which float around(and stick to your body, but I didn't mind, it was super cute!) the bath water which honestly made me feel really loved, how sad is that one folks? This one is definitely more on the sweet side of the scent scale(accidental alliteration makes me happy oh my). It reminds me of the little milk mice sweeties? That super, almost sicky sweet vanilla scent? But I love it, that teamed with the pink bath water and the paper hearts, it's a bath fit for any Princess! I didn't find that it did wonders for my skin but the water did have a lovely feel to it. Another that i'd re purchase myself and I think this would be a great little extra for a birthday gift for your pals!

Moving on to the bubble bars, i've read a lot on the Comforter bubble bar across the blogging world and it seems to be a bit like Marmite. I, for one, loved it! I received the mini 100 gram version in my Bunty box but you can buy the jumbo size online.(£4.75 each) Just a quick note, in case any of you are unsure what a bubble bar is, it's sort of similar to a bath bomb, though you break off a small piece and crumble it under the running bath water and it makes a shit tonne a lot of bubbles, super entertaining! As the website, and every single review i've read, states, it has a deliciously sweet scent of blackcurrant, almost like Ribena, erm, NOM! It does make an incredible amount of bubbles which is fun! Although that's evidently the sls but that's a whole other blog post just waiting to happen. You do get a really fun, rich pinky, purple shade of bath water which is lovely! This scent did stick to my body/hair afterwards which was lush! (Do you get my pun?) I would re purchase this item but I wouldn't recommend it to you if you're not a fan of overly sweet scents. I managed two baths out of my 100 gram bar, you could probably stretch it a bit further but I really like bubbles.. sorry, not sorry?

Last but not least we have the Creamy Candy(£2.75 each) bubble bar. You use this one the same as the Comforter, crumbling it under the running water and what not. Another sweet scent but not overly sickly. It smells like the fair, that marvelous candyfloss scent, yum! This little beaut did leave my skin feeling silky soft, can I be shit and say as smooth as a babies bottom? Another pink, bubbly bath that i'd totally recommend to everyone!

So what do you think? Have you tried any of these bath products? I think my favourite of the four would have to be the Think Pink bath bomb! Which was your favourite? Let me know below

A Trip To The Abbey With Mum | Lifestyle

Wednesday, January 14, 2015

Firstly I just want to apologise  for the arrangement of these photo's but blogger has been driving me mad for over an hour now and I can't seem to fix it!

So yesterday, Mum and I decided to head to Tewkesbury Abbey to grab some snaps and I just thought i'd share my faourite ones with you all! Something a little different than the usual on here but I had such a lovely time. It was so interesting in there, full of History, although at one point we were the only one's in there and it was a little.. eerie to say the least!

If you live in the area and haven't been before, then you're missing out! Even the grounds are beautiful. It's humongous inside, such a fabulous work or art! We had a lovely time and mum even used the SLR, she loved it until the battery died haha!

I hope you've all had a lovely day! Keep on smiling! Oh and look how massive that tree is! It reminded me of something out of Harry Potter!

"Follow Your Dreams"

So the other day I went shopping with my mum to Aldi, riveting I know! On the drive home we managed to get into a pretty deep conversation about hopes and dreams and other such things. So I headed to pinterest to find a nice little quote to accompany this post. I simply chose "follow your dreams" because that's exactly what i'm going to do this year!

I also saw this video on facebook and it made me think, holy shit, we waste so much time doing nothing! It's deffo worth a watch, promise.

I, like many, have a lot of dreams, both big and small, but today i've decided to talk about my little dreams. If you know me outside of the blogging world, then you might know what my big plans and dreams are! I've already got an entire blog post coming for those soon, so don't worry!

This year I will finish my journalism course and get an article published!
I was due to finish my course next month but I got so caught up with work and the festive season that it might take me a little longer now, but that's okay because I know i'll get there eventually! I'll also be writing a whole separate blog post on my course once i've finished, in case any of you are interested in taking a journalism course.

I've always loved writing so when I decided to take this course, I knew it was the right thing for me, the right door to open. I honestly can't wait to have a little something published, even if it were just online or in a teeny tiny free hand out magazine. I can look at it and be like, that's mine, I wrote that. I'm sure some of the people reading this will have raised eyebrows and be thinking, but, isn't that what I do with my blog? On a certain level, yes it is, but the way I see it is two completely different outlets. I find that I have a blog writing style and a journo writing style. I'm sure if there are any journo's reading this, they'll remember the first time they had a piece of work published. I'm so excited!

So if you've been umming and ahhing about taking that psychology course, or wondering if you should get started on selling your artwork, or maybe your reading my blog and thinking to yourself, man, I really want to write my own blog, just go for it! There is no time like the present and if you find something that you really want to do, grab that sucker by the horns!

I hope you've all had a fantastic weekend and a lovely Monday! Keep following your dreams

Crop Top - Mango | Cardigan - Topshop | Jeans - Dorothy Perkins | Bowler Hat - Peacocks | Boots - Primark

Hello world! A little while ago we went down to the beach to snap up some outfit photos. I love the beach in the winter, it just looks so beautiful, don't you think? I would also like to say sorry for the lack of links but  just couldn't find them! The mango website isn't very... user friendly to say the least.

Can we just talk about how adorable this hat is for a moment. I picked it up in Peacocks a just after Christmas, half as a joke, but then I sort of fell in love with it and i've worn it about "fifty" times since then! If I remember correctly, it was just £8!

Another new member to my wardrobe is this big fluffy cardigan that Cameliatron treated me to in Topshop at Christmas. It's the most comfortable item of clothing I own and it goes with absolutely everything! I wore it to work the other day with a polka dot skater dress and it looked adorable, if I do say so myself! It's only £20 in the sale right now, I highly suggest you make an investment!

You all know i'm one for a crop top, I just usually pair it with something high wasited or wear a vest underneath. But for some strange and unknown I was feeling brave/daring and decided to bare the white tummy to the world, sue me!

So what do you think of this outfit? I think i've got the looking "alright" and being 110% comfortable thing down right now, right? Have a lovely day!

Forever 21 Sale | Wishlist

Tuesday, January 06, 2015

January sales will always be one of my favourite things, but eventually we have to stop spending, boo hoo! So of course, it's the perfect time for a wishlist! I decided to make this entire wishlist up of Forever 21 items as I was one their site the other day and not only do the have a massive sale on right now, all the items are to die for! I also decided to have some fun editing and make these two little collages of the items, what d'ya think?
1 | 2 | 3 | 4
First up is this sheer crochet top in a royal blue shade. Forever 21 says it's a teal shade but it seems a lot darker to me. I think this is certainly a must have piece for the summer. The model's wearing it with a plain black bra but I think it'd look really cute with a white string bikini top! It's only £9.99 in the sale, bargain number one!

I'm a lover of cardigan's and big knit jumpers and anything long enough to cover my behind, so this marled midi cardigan is heaven for me. It looks so comfy that you could just live in it. It fits perfectly into my black and white wardrobe too. It's down from £22 to just £13.99 in the sale!

I'm yet to add a kimono to my wardrobe but this kimono style cardigan is certainly a winner. This southwestern tassel cardigan is perfect to throw over any festival outfit this summer. Alternatively, because of the dark shades, I reckon you could rock it now with a pair of black jeans, boots and plain white tee, sorted! You can grab it now for £16.99

How effortlessly perfect is this tie-waist plaid shirt dress? How cute is it that it's even got mock long sleeves around the waist?! I love how they've styled it with a bomber jacket and boots, such a simple yet lovely outfit! Another bargain at just £13.99.

1 | 2 | 3 | 4
Next up is this Peter pan collar lace dress. Such a pretty item, I think you could wear it for pretty much anything! Dress it down for after work drinks with boots and a pleather jacket or dress is up with gold jewelry and chunky heels! Amazing for just £13.99!

So the festive season might be over, but there'll be other fancy events in the upcoming months, right? This sequined a-line dress will deffo be a head tuner! Certainly not something to just wear down the pub on a Tuesday evening, unless you really want to of course, then there's no stoping you! You can bring the glitz and glam to the party for just £16.99.

Now for something a bit more, sexy! I'd like to say i'd be daring/confident enough to wear this, but the truth is, i'd probably be too chicken. But this mesh-paneled bodycon dress is to die for! Just look at it! To be fair, for just £9.99, I might just have to pluck up the courage to rock this beauty!

Last but not least is, yup you guessed it, another cardigan! This geometric print cardigan is another must have piece for my ever growing monochrome wardrobe. Another great way to jazz up a seemingly plain outfit. Grab yourself one now for just £19.99.

So which Forever 21 sale piece are you lusting over right now? If you find anything else in the sale that's awesome, be sure to leave a link in the comments, i'd love to see what you're loving! I hope you all have a lovely Tuesday!

"How to have a lovely day"

Smile at strangers: Something that I must remember to do often. I make eye contact with so many strangers/passer bys every single day, but I just get nervous and look away but every now and then I catch them smiling at me and it's a really lovely feeling, so i'm going to start doing the same!

Slow down: Sure, do things and get sh*t done, but don't rush. Pace yourself, enjoy every moment of every day.

Say thank you: I've always had manners extremely high on my "list of things to always remember," my mumma brought me up a polite girl, and I think saying thank you is such an easy, yet lovely thing to say. Whether it's to the waitress that just brought you your cafe mocha or the person who's just held the lift for you, those two little words can really make another person smile!

Give lots of compliments: I always remind my loved ones how beautiful they are or how cute their new hair cut is. They might just say thanks or even just shrug it off, but it'll make them smile inside.

Dress nicely: For yourself! Don't dress for others, but dress up for yourself, you'll feel more confident and that confidence will shine out of your face! New, cute underwear is always nice too.

Wear perfume: Another confidence booster! I've actually just ran out of my current favouite and it's making me miserable, not gonna lie. But once again, remember, you're doing this one for yourself.

Observe and listen: It's great to be the friend who has always has something to say, a story to tell or all the answers, but it's important to remember to observe those around you and to take it all in. Observe your surroundings, like really observe, write about it if you want to. Don't just listen to what people are saying, listen to how they're saying it, listen to the way their body reacts to everything they're saying.

Be charming: Always be pleasant and kind to others, even if you're not totally into that person, if they pass by, give them a little wave or a little smile, you're just attracting negative energy by grunting or giving dirty looks.

Laugh: Having people around you to make you laugh is one of the loveliest feelings in the world, but learning how to make yourself laugh is a lovely feeling too. I probably sound crazy right now but it's true! Whether it's something you read, hear or something you do, laugh and don't hold back!

Wish others a lovely day: Working with the public, I sort of have this drummed into my brain anyway. "Have a lovely day," "take care" there are lots of lovely little things you can say to someone, someone that might not have anybody around them to say those little things and you could really make their day!

So taking all that into account, I hope you all have a wonderful day! Monday's don't have to be so bad!

Coat - Bershka | Shirt - Primark | Boots - Primark(similar) | Backpack - Topshop (old)

So we took these photos a while back, before I had my "blogging break", and I couldn't think of any new places to go to take the photos, so we ended up on the road around the corner from my house where all the parking spaces are.. classy.

I know I wore this jacket in my last outfit post, so I guess this is kind of cheating, right? But I love it so much. It's actually still available on the Bershka site! It's got a massive discount on it now and it's just £13.99! Can't get much better than that. To be fair they could be handing them out for free but we don't live in that kind of world do we.

How adorable is this shirt? We did take some close up shots but my face was doing all sorts of weird things so I left those out, sorry. It's just a sheer white, button up shirt with little pastel green hearts all over it but it's so friggin' cute, right?!

As for the boots, I've worn these pretty much everyday for the last two months, they're from Primark and they cost me 10euros, which is what, £12? But you can get a pair of Chelsea boots from pretty much anywhere. I found these similar ones on the New Look site for £27, not bad my friends.

I've got some pretty awesome plans for some up coming outfit posts, so keep your eyes peeled ladies and gentlemen! I hope you've all had an amazing week! Happy Sunday!

So, I Haven't Blogged in a While?

I slept in until about 11/12 and it was amazing!

So before I get back into a crazy busy blogging schedule, I thought i'd share some of my favourite photos form 2014!
