Faux Fur Coat - Thrifted, vintage | Jeans - Dorothy Perkins | Top, Bag & Trainers - Primark | Rings - Sainsburys

Long time no outfit of the day! I absolutely love #ootd posts, both reading and creating them! I picked up this amazing vintage faux fur jacket on Tewkesbury high street back in January and I actually can't believe it's taken me this long to blog it! I highly doubt that this will be it's last appearance though! It only cost me £20 and I'd say that's pretty cheap for true love, wouldn't you?

My other favourite thing about this outfit is the cute af tee. I found this in Primark whilst in Southampton the other weekend visiting my little brother. I think it's supposed to be a crop top, but I sized up for a super baggy fit and because the top half of my body is ridiculously short it's kind of hard to tell, oops. I'm really loving this khaki colour at the moment too! I know spring is well and truly on it's way but i'm clinging onto dark coloured clothing for as long as possible.. as always!

What do you think of this little look? How do you feel about the faux fur bargain? And can we just appreciate the fact that i'm wearing actually trainers on the blog for the first time in about two years! Let me know how you'd style this coat!

Vlogging Shenanigans

Vlogging Shenanigans | Love, Maisie

So, if you follow me on twitter you'll probably know that I started vlogging in January and guess what.. I'm still doing it! I can't believe I've managed to stick at this little project for as long as I have, hashtag just a bit proud of myself. I thought i'd share a little post about my vlogging venture for those of you who weren't aware of it!

I decided that I wanted to start capturing snippets of my day to day musings and dare I say, adventures, in video form a long time ago but never really had the oomph to actually start. I loved the idea of having mini episode's of my life to watch back whenever I wanted to! I'm already enjoying watching back videos from just a couple of months ago!

My favourite vlog so far has probably been week 8, gin nachos and Ally Pally. I got Jack tickets for an Enter Shikari and The Wonder Years gig at Christmas and during week 8 we finally got to use them! Alexandra Palace looks out over London and it's just an absolutely stunning venue!

Of course, some weeks I have more to share and talk about than others and some days I don't really want to do or film anything, or even have the time for that matter! I've definitely started doing this for myself, for the memories but if you'd like to come along with me and watch then that's great!

I've poped links to all of my vlogs from this year so far below, so please feel free to have a nosey!

If you fancy subscribing to my channel, you can do so right here! Do you like vlogs? Do you vlog? Have you caught any of mine yet? What did you think? Let me know!

Quote of the Week | #66

Saturday, March 19, 2016
"Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground" - Teddy Roosevelt img source*

I've sat and stared at this quote for at least five days now, not continuously, but enough for it to be imprinted on the front of my brain and for it to be written on the inside of my eyelids. I'm not 100% sure why this quote specifically is having such an impact on me, but I guess I will try and explain.

If you've been reading my little blog for a while, you'll know that my uploads are often inconsistent and i'm indecisive as anything. You'll have seen me talk about 3872501 projects but only seen the outcome of about five. You may even remember that at the start of the year I shared a little post about my hopes and dreams. I still cling onto the hopes and dreams that I briefly mentioned in that post with a hold so tight that I often think my fingers might actually snap off.

I think it's really important to have big dreams, you just have to remember to believe in them. I'm not saying that I haven't fully believed in some of my past aspirations, as working two jobs or just battling with my demons can often take away the time it takes to be able to project myself into these things. I don't think that you should have dreams for the "sake" of having them, do you know what I mean? It's taken me 21 years to almostreally know what I want out of life and to realise what it is that I want to achieve. Now that I've realised what these things are, I feel in control of themmy life! Am I making sense? Are you still with me?

I suppose this quote speaks for itself. Never lose sight of your dreams but always, always stay grounded. I'm sure you all have that cliche childhood memory of you mother or your nana or your year 8 lit teacher saying "anything is possible when you put your mind to it," but it really is, you just have to believe in yourself. Now, I know typing that out onto a keyboard is a lot easier than actually practicing it, but I promise you; if you can start believing in yourself today then tomorrow you'll have a little more faith and next week you'll have even more and so on and so forth. #positivevibes

I feel like this post it a bit word vomitty and not that fluid(excuse the disgustingly accidental pun) but I really felt like I should post it, so if you've actually read through it, then don't worry, I'm nearly finished babbling. If you take anything away from this post, I hope it's a little, if not a lot, of encouragement and positive energy that you can transfer into your own life. Remember, you got this!

Sometimes I Get A Little Sad

Saturday, March 12, 2016
Thank you to my beautiful bestie Jade for this shot, check out her Instagram here
Hello internet, it's been a while hasn't it? Boy how many blog posts over the last couple of years have started like that? IN FACT, this past Thursday marked 3 YEARS since I started this little blog, can you believe that? Three years, holy wow.

Last Sunday, I had an awful day. If i'm being honest, awful is the biggest understatement of 2016 so far. I'm going to say that at least 50% of it was due to those dreaded hormones. Then, the other 50% was sort of made up of me just not feeling.. well, me. It happens from time to time, yknow? Sometimes it last for a couple of hours, but other times, it lasts for weeks.

I spent around seven hours that day in a bubble of crying, laying in bed motionless, contemplating every thought and action I've ever had in (almost) 22 years of living and trying to verbally express what was going on in my head.

One of the things that I ended up talking about was the fact that I didn't feel talented in any way, shape or form. Really, I still don't think I have any sort of talent that's worth talking about in either a negative or positive way. But since that glorious day, I thought to myself, you don't have to be amazingly amazing at something to enjoy doing it. I'm not the best writer or the best photographer and i'm certainly not the best content creator, but you know what, I love doing all of those things! It might sound crazy, but I love learning new things each and every time I put out a blog post and I love putting myself and my personality into all the little things that I do.

Life can be tough at the best of times, but you've just got to push through the storm. This was a bit of a random post, I know, but I just felt like addressing whatever this is a little. I hope you're all well and March is treating you amazingly so far! Here's to a more positive outlook on, well, everything

The Body Jewellery Shop | Review

Tuesday, March 01, 2016
As some of you may or may not know, I'm an avid collector of piercings(and tattoo's, but that'll be a whole other blog post). I currently have 14 piercings and 3 others that I don't wear jewellery in anymore, so I think it's safe to say that I've a collection going on.

The majority of my piercings are ear piercings, so when The Body Jewellery Shop got in contact and wanted to send me some of their ear piercing jewellery, I was smitten! I had a scroll through their amazing choice of ear piercing jewellery and picked out these lovely pieces!

I fell in love with this little feather tragus bar, isn't it just so dinky?! I know, I know, but Maisie, it's not in your tragus? Well my friends, I couldn't get it into my tragus! I've never used anything else apart from a flat backed tragus bar, so I was also a little scared! But, none the less, I think this little feather looks super duper cute up there at the top of my little ear! I actually received two of the beauties, so I think I'm going to place the other one in one of my lower lobe piercings on my other ear.

The other item that I received is this elegant ear cuff. I've never owned an ear cuff before but i'm totally in love with this one! This would be an especially great piece for someone who doesn't have as many or any actual ear piercings! You simply bend it to sit comfortably on the side of your ear!

Both of these items are made of surgical steel so shouldn't irritate you/your skin, but please remember, everyone is different and a reaction may still be possible. I've been wearing my new feather bar for a couple of weeks now and it's still sitting comfortably in place! As for my new ear cuff, I've worn it a couple of times and I'm still 110% in love with it!

I'd highly recommend checking out The Body Jewellery Shop's website, they have a huge range of ear piercing jewellery, tunnels and plugs and loads more! They also offer free worldwide shipping on orders over £10, amazing!

Have you ever purchased anything from The Body Jewellery Store? What did you think? Let me know below!
