I actually can't believe that I haven't posted a Sunday style board since November last year, oh my wow! I'm really enjoying being back to blogging more often so I thought, why not bring back an old favourite section, the Sunday style boards!

As I'm sure you all know by now, I'm expecting my first little bundle of joy in January and I am well and truly starting to show! Being comfortable is my main mission right now, especially when we get those super hot days, so shirt dresses are something of a comfort to me at the moment. This denim shirt dress from Topshop(£40) is actually maternity, so that's a bargain! As always, I've teamed it with some white Converse(£45) because you can never, ever go wrong with white converse, right?

Can we please talk about how adorable this handbag is and the fact that it's cruelty free and Betsey Johnson and only £55! If we weren't saving for our actual baby I'd certainly have ordered this little baby by now. Small in size and technically a clutch, it does have a thin, gold chain strap which seems to be able to fit across body and be teamed with gold hardware.. and it's a freakin' deer, how can you not love it? Betsey Johnson have multiple adorable bags available at the moment and you can have a peep on the Macy's website for them, go on, I dare you! (I actually want all of them, ngl)

I'm forever eyeing up watches but never committing to buying them, especially ones that have a hefty price tag attached to them, because I can never 100% make my mind up! Is anyone else like this with watches? Overly picky? This DKNY watch(around £40) is super simple, yet I feel as though it will stand out against this fairly simple outfit and it won't break the bank! It's a light rose gold shade that I personally think looks sophisticated and elegant and will go with pretty much any outfit.

These sunglasses are a bit of a luxury item but I couldn't not include them in this post because when I laid eyes on them(is that a pun or just an awful choice of words? Either way I'm slightly ashamed of myself) I fell in love. They're Dolce & Gabbana and will set you back a hefty £230(erm, ouch) but my goodness are they gorgeous! I just simply wouldn't purchase these sunglasses for fear of losing them, because £230 is a lot of money to forget on the train, right? Then again, the Marissa collections website is offering free shipping right now? Hmmmm.

Last but not least, to complete the whole look I thought a bold red lip would do the trick. I've rekindled my love for a red lip recently and have been rocking my beloved Beauty UK lipstick in the shade Vampire, so when I found this NARS, semi matte lippy in the shade Jungle Red(£22), I thought it was just perfect for this post! What do you think?

So I'm pretty sure I'll be posting a handful more of these posts over the next couple of months. Did you miss the Sunday style boards? What did you think of this look? Let me know below and I hope you've all been having a wonderful bank holiday weekend!

As I write this post, I am 18 weeks and two days pregnant and I am still so grateful to be able to be on this crazy, whirlwind of a journey, I really am. As I write this post, I look down and see the little bump protruding from my abdomen, which I know is where my little bundle of joy is all snuggled up. As I look up at myself in the mirror, I see me, but I also see a body that I do not recognise.

9 to 5 Cleansing Lotion | Lush Review | Love, Maisie
Back in June I blogged about my new favourite toner from Lush and this month, since I've been trailing it for a couple of months now, I thought I'd talk to you about my other most recent Lush purchase. So here I am, bringing you another blogger favourite, Lush's 9 to 5 cleansing lotion! Sorry not sorry if you're bored of hearing about this product

As far as cleansers go, I've basically been using a mix of Garnier products for the past.. well, forever! So on my last trip to Lush I decided to give in to the ever so popular 9 to 5 cleansing lotion. I'd never used a lotion cleanser before so I was pretty eager to give it a go and compare it to my staples. Plus, for a huge 240g bottle, it's pretty cheap in comparison to some high end brands. I'm still using my micellar water to remove the bulk of my make up, but then I've been going in with this bad boy and giving my skin that extra cleanse that it probablydefinitely needs!
The main ingredients in the 9 to 5 cleansing lotion are Almond Oil, Fresh Dove Orchid extract and Ylang Ylang oil, which if you know anything about me by now it's that I adore the scent of ylang ylang(plus it's an amazing oil for balancing both dry and oily skin, bargain)! It claims to brighten, soothe and moisturise your skin. I'm not sure if my skin is looking brighter because of this product, or because of the tiny human growing inside of me but either way, after using the 9 to 5 cleansing lotion, my skin does feel super duper smooth and refreshed.

Because I generally take my make up off before using this cleansing lotion, I often just smear it all over my face with the tips of my fingers before removing it gently using wet cotton pads, which I then dry off and follow with a sprtiz of my Tea Tree Toner Water. Of course, this product is 100% Vegan and I highly recommend it if you're looking for something to add to your skin care routine that will leave your skin feeling super duper fresh, morning or night!

Have you tried out Lush's 9 to 5 cleansing lotion before? What did you think? Or are you not as big a fan as I am? Let me know!

"Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations"
It's true isn't it, in life, the toughest of times will always lead you to the brightest of times? At least I like to think so anyway. I'm not going to lie, I didn't think pregnancy would be as challenging as it has already proved to be, and I'm sure it'll get tougher too. But I know that the end result is something so beautiful, something that nothing in this world can compare to.

I'd like to dedicate today's blog post to the beautiful Erin from Just remember this little quote my lovely. Your beautiful destination is right around the corner ♡

enjoy the little things | quote of the week #71 | Love, Maisie blog
Enjoy the little things *img source
In a society where we're all striving have the best Instagram grid and saving up our pennies to buy the next celebrity branded product, it's often hard to remember that sometimes it's not about all of that "luxe internet shit". Sometimes it's about the little things.

Sometimes the best feeling in the world is getting into bed when you've just put on new sheets AND you've just shaved your legs. Heaven. It's easy to take for granted the little things in life, like the coffee's that Jack makes me every single morning and the little kisses he gives me before he leaves for the gym.

If you do anything this week, make it to be aware of all of the little things in your day to day life that always bring a smile to your face. Write a list, post a tweet or even a whole blog post about them! What was the first thing that made you smile this morning?

Summer maxi dress wishlist | Love, Maisie
1 | 2 | 3 | 4

It's August, so in theory, it should be bright sunshine every single day right? Wrong. England has this really funny weather pattern where it's not actually a patter, yknow? Some days it gets really hot and we all hide inside and take to twitter to complain about the 30 degree heat and then the next day it's raining and we're all running around outside trying to catch Pokemon because we've read that there's a whole load of rare Pokemon about the town center.

England is weird. But hey, when we do get those blistering hot days, I often spend half of it trying to figure out what the best thing to wear is so that I don't become a puddle of not so hot mess. That's where Maxi dresses come in handy! Especially if you're going to be out all day and into the evening. Not only are they super comfy but they generally don't make me want to cry in the heat and don't leave me shivering all night if we stay out a little later than planed.

The first dress is from Miss Selfridge and it's a little bandeau number and it's only £12 in the sale, down from £30, bargain! With it's loose fit and high waistband, I think it'd work for my growing body right now too. With slits up the sides you could pair this dress with some fancy schmancy sandals and still get to show them off. Plus there's lace detailing over the chest, what's not to love?

Next up is a River Island bardot maxi dress that that seems to be out of stock online but I'm kind of praying that they still have a couple left in store! I actually read a really funny blog post about bardot tops over on Kat's blog ChaptersOfKat. But all the calamities of bardot's aside, they look gorgeous and this print is beyond beautiful! If you have this dress and have posted it in an #ootd or blog post, please let me know!

The next two maxi dresses are both from Topshop! Ahh, good ol' Topshop. We all know that I've loved Topshop for the longest time now and this summer, it's no different. The first of the two dresses is another floral print. Hey if we can't make summer happen then let's just wear the most summery prints we can right? Coming in at £55, it's definitely something that I'd treat myself to for a special occasion! Did someone say summer wedding?

Last but not least is this twist detail maxi dress by Wal G in a super dusty pink shade. Still pretty damn gorgeous and great for that summer wedding, but also slightly more casual, you could certainly get away with it as a day or night time look! Pair it with some wedges and you're good to go! Available online now for £37.

So there we have it, my top maxi dress picks right now! What's currently on your wishlist? Are you loving maxi dresses too at the moment? Let me know below!

That's right! Jack and I are extremely happy to announce that we will be bringing a tiny, little human into the world in January, oh my god!
So holy wow, a baby! Jack and I found out that we were expecting back in May when I decided that after not being 100% sure how late my period was, it was maybe wise to pee on a stick and see what that little bugger had to say. Without a doubt, within seconds, those two blue lines popped up and dear lord was I feeling a feeling that I'm not sure I've ever felt before.
