COSY UP AT CHRISTMAS

Monday, December 05, 2016
I'm sure you're all aware by now that I love Christmas! There's honestly just something so lovely in the air around this time of year isn't there? Anyway, let's get to today's blog post shall we?

I don't know about you, but if there's one thing that I really adore about winter and the festive season, it's an excuse to cosy up in bed or on the sofa in my favourite covers, blankets and bedding. Whether that be in my actual bed or on the sofa with a hot chocolate(vegan of course), you just can't go wrong with a duvet day this time of year can you?

So for today's blog post, I thought I'd share some of my favourite finds for really getting that cosy feel for this festive season!
First of all and probably the most important thing is your duvet covers! As we've just recently moved, I'm actually in the need of building up my duvet cover collection! I'm a big fan of brushed cotton since recently discovering it in none other than Primark would you believe it! These soft brushed cotton duvet covers from Yorkshire Linen can soothe you down for sleep in no time! I can't wait for my first duvet day on the sofa, I'm sure I'll be treating myself to it soon! I decided to chose three different duvet sets, one super Christmassy one, a slightly more subtle but still festive one and last but not least, this gorgeous Stag print which is beyond perfect for this time of year!

If you read this post, you'll know that I've struggled with sleep a little(a lot) since being pregnant and I really do think that a lovely, soft, freshly washed duvet cover can help to aid your sleep troubles! All of these duvet covers are available from Yorkshire Linen in single, double, king and superking size sets!
Another thing that I love to keep me cosy are throws! I currently have two throws on our bed and four on our sofa, am I over doing it? Again, you don't have to go super festive for your throws either, but things like this red pom pom throw from House of Fraser can really add a touch of warmth and festivities to your bedroom or living room. Similarly this grey faux fut throw, almost adds a snowy but still cosy vibe to a sofa, don't you think?

But, if like myself, you like to go all out, then this super festive Scandi knit throw is the one for you! Reindeer and snowflakes really says it all doesn't it, but it's still sophisticated enough to take pride of place in your living room!

I really do believe that your bedding can help you to create a super cosy feel in your home! With gorgeous, super soft duvet covers and thick, luxurious throws, it really doesn't take much to cosy up your home in the colder months and what better theme to go for than the festive season!

  7. Oh I definitely need those! I will be getting married in 3 months so it'll be my first time not living with my parents. This is the perfect thing my fiancé and I need for winter!
