Now, I know I've mentioned that I don't think gift guides are my thing, but when the postman showed up at my door with this beauty, I knew that I had to share it on the blog because it honestly is such an amazing Christmas gift for any beauty lover! Let me introduce you to the Joan Collins, Timeless Beauty Compact Duo*!
Now, I'm sure you've all heard of Joan Collins and if you're an M&S fan, you might be aware that the lovely lady has her very own beauty range! The piece that I wanted to share with you today is the compact duo, aka my new handbag favourite.
Now, with Christmas coming up, it means that there will probably be a work do or two that you're invited to and getting your outfits planned is stressful enough, without having to worry how much you can actually fit into your clutch bag. You know, the one that you keep tucked away in the wardrobe for these said work dos at Christmas time that you can only ever manage to fit your phone and a fiver in? Wouldn't it be handy if you could have your lipstick, your powder and a mirror all in one compact? Viola!
Whenever I go on a night out, I find that the two makeup items that I have to have with me are my lipstick and powder for touch ups, so the fact that this sleek compact duo has exactly that is just a dream! The two products themselves are the Meticulous powder and a lipstick from the Divine Lips range. The lipstick shade that I've kindly been sent is Fontaine, a gorgeous bright pink, perfect for rocking with those smokey eyes.
I actually think Fontaine makes a gorgeous shade for any time of the year! This lipstick is super pigmented and feels smooth and glossy on the lips. All of the Divine Lips lipsticks are actually designed to hydrate your lips as you wear them! I personally adore this shade and can't wait to mix it in with more make up looks over the festive period! There are also 15 other lipstick shades available, ranging from pale nudes to deep plums, so there is truly a shade for everyone!
As for the Meticulous powder, it's the perfect translucent powder for touch ups on those pesky areas, for me it's my chin and my t zone, that always seem to get a little oily after a couple of hours! It actually also contains hyaluronic acid which helps to fill fine lines and reduce their appearance! Available in a neutral shade as well as fair, medium and dark, again it really is the perfect powder for everyone!
Like I've said, I really do think this is the perfect gift for any beauty lover this Christmas! Whether as a bit of a luxury stocking filler or a gift on it's own, I can almost guarantee whoever you gift this too will love it! Available online via the Joan Collins beauty website or at Marks & Spencers for £34. The Divine Lips lipsticks are also available separatley for £18 each and the Meticulous pressed powder for £22.
Have you tried this beautifully sleek compact before? Will you be making a purchase for someone this Christmas? Or maybe a treat for yourself? Let me know!
